Ahem, where was I. Victoria is now at 4012 active cases down from 7671 from last week. The thing to note is states determine recoveries differently. Victoria has reclassified a large number of cases as recovered / inactive. This usually takes place after an interview with the patient to make sure their symptoms have cleared and enough time has passed. At which point you are released from isolation.

This was an excellent episode about Vaccines and Vaccinology from A16Z. Went into details about how vaccines are developed and how the times and shorten down and things to look out for. One minute the government was going to physically hold everyone down to give everyone mandatory shots, the next minute scotty from marketing said they are not going to do that. Even doctors are saying the no jab no play is a bad idea as we don’t know the long term complication as it will be a new vaccine.

Stagflation is the likely event, what is stagflation – it’s when prices go higher but economic growth slows, and there’s high unemployment. The issue is that economic policy designed to lower inflation creates more unemployment.

Burger king is printing your orders on face masks in Belgium. Looks like that’s in the Wallonia part of Belgium (the part just next to France), Dutch is spoken in the Flanders part. Brussels speaks both. Did you know there is a museum in Brussels that is dedicated to comics (think Smurfs and Tintin). I drove 733km there and back home again in October last year to visit it. Don’t forget the steering wheel in on the left side of car, so we shift gears with the right hand (and there’s only manual cars) and we drive on the opposite side.
